Lexi's Blessing Day

Alexis was blessed on September 26th by her father. The blessing was absolutely beautiful! She also looked absolutely beautiful. A special thanks to my mom for letting us borrow that dress! It was the dress I was blessed in, and made the day really special for us. I know this post is FAR overdue, but I wanted to post some pictures from Lexi's blessing day for those who weren't able to make it.

My family minus Valeri ( we sure missed her, but are so grateful for her willingness to serve the Lord and the people of Texas)

I loved this picture of my mom and us

Week 8

This week has been so busy for us. Chris is still working like crazy. He's teaching a class on Tues. and Thurs. nights until 9:30 pm. He is working so hard for our family, and I'm so grateful. Meanwhile, I'm having a blast playing "mom". I love spending time with Alexis and getting to know her more everyday. She is the smartest baby! She has started following (with her eyes) around the room. She is getting so big. She's started not only growing in length, but she's started to get tiny baby fat rolls that are so cute. Here are the pictures from this week.

This week is going to bring a lot of firsts for us. On Friday Lexi gets her 1st real set of shots. :( Her mommy is not very excited about that. (Any tips for how to make shots easier?) After that though, we are going back to Orem to visit my parents. We are so excited because it's been almost a month since we've seen them and we miss them. Then my cute friend Laura is going to take our family pictures. We are so excited because she is amazing! We are also going to be spending Halloween down there. We can't wait to see Alexis in her costume. Pictures to come next week!

Hopefully this week brings more time to blog. I still need to blog about her blessing day. Don't you worry, it will happen. Keep your eyes open for it.

Hope all is well with all of you and your families.

Lots of love until next time!

Week 7

This week brought a lot of new things for Alexis. She spent her first Sunday at church (all 3 hours!). She made it through all 3 without crying. She is such a good baby! She has decided that she doesn't need to take naps anymore. At first we were sad, but now that she's sleeping 7-8 hours a night, we really can't complain.

Mommy's favorite moment this week... Daddy woke up and took Alexis to clean the church on Saturday morning and let me sleep in. We got a little backpack that she loves sitting in, and she helped Dad vacuum the church. I'm so grateful to have a husband who understands the importance of sleep!

Week 6

Alexis is growing fast.... too fast for her mommy! This last week she learned a new trick. She can hold her bottle all by herself. She holds it with two fists, so she kind of looks silly, but still. She's 6 weeks old! She has also rolled over and scooted, but I hope those aren't going to be repeated for a while. I want my baby to stay a baby for a while. I hope all is well with your families, as all is well here. Here are her pictures from this week:
