Hey everyone! The doctor kept telling me that Alexis would come early. In my family early meant months, or weeks, or even days. I had no idea what to expect and as the days passed I began being very anxious. Alexis did join our family early. She came into the world at 11:42 p.m. on August 29th (exactly 18 minutes before her due date) weighing 7 lbs 12 oz and 20 inches long. Once the epidural worked (the 4th try), labor was actually really easy. Besides Alexis being posterior, and meconium in the amniotic fluid, there weren't any complications. Because of the meconium, they couldn't give her right to me. She had to be checked out by a respiratory therapist and a couple of NICU nurses. I'm grateful that it was just on the other side of the room, and that she actually didn't leave me. We are so happy that Heavenly Father blessed our family with such a beautiful baby girl!
She loves her beauty sleep
